Germany got a record 58% of its electricity from renewables

Conservation measures in Taiwan’s Taijiang National Park—including seasonal road closures and bamboo bridges—have dramatically reduced deaths of migrating mangrove land crabs. Observed numbers rose from roughly 5,000 crabs a year to more than 10,000, showing how relatively simple changes can make a real difference for wildlife.

In August, the new Phoenix Species Project launched with a $200 million commitment to help recover 100 of the world's most threatened species across 30 countries. The projects will include habitat restoration, captive breeding, disease management and reintroduction efforts, with local communities, Indigenous groups and conservationists leading much of the work.
